INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF INPUT-OUTPUT ANALYSIS OF THE IIOA
The first edition of the International School of Input-Output Analysis (ISIOA) of the International Input-Output Association (IIOA), www.iioa.org, took place with notable success one and a half days prior to the 19th International Input-Output Conference at Alexandria (United States) last June 2011.
During its first year of implementation, the teaching activities of the School revolved around three different modules. Each module was led by one lecturer. Each module consisted of a 6 hour lecture divided into four sessions and was held one day and a half prior to the annual Input-Output conference. As a follow-up of the courses, the participants are expected to submit an assignment proposed by the lecturers in order to get their final approval for receiving the Module Certificate of Studies in Input-Output Analysis (authorized by the ISIOA). For your consideration, you may find below more information about the functioning of the ISIOA and the IIOA.
Accordingly, the ISIOA is organizing two introductory modules one day prior to the 12th Workshop of the APDR next February 14, 2012 (this time devoted to input-output models). They would consist of two parallel sessions of 3 h each (with a break in between) during the afternoon. These sessions will focus on the construction of Social Accounting Matrices and the updating of Input-Output Tables.
