How to reach Faro?
The city of Faro is located at the south of Portugal, in the Algarve region.
Algarve is a well known touristic area. The region is perfect for the summer holidays with a Mediterranean climate. Some of the best and most beautiful beaches in the entire world with fine sand and crystal-clear water are to be found in the Algarve. The region is a favourite for sun-seekers from all over the world.
The region of Algarve also offers natural landscapes, a rich folk heritage, and healthy gastronomy which are worth appreciating along with the pleasures of the sun and the sea.
BY PLANE
You can travel to Faro by plane. Faro international airport is only 4 km far from the University of Algarve and 7 km from the city center and it is connected by a frequent shuttle bus service or taxi.

There are many bus routes offering daily service between the Faro Airport and the EVA Bus Terminal in the city center of Faro (every 60minutes - ticket € 1,90).
Taxis from the airport into Faro cost approximately € 10, 00.
Lisbon International Airport
If you are coming from Lisbon (Lisbon International Airport), trains and buses will take from 3 to 4 hours to reach to the city center of Faro.

La Universidad del Algarve es una universidad estatal, los jóvenes, que se encuentra en la parte sureste de Portugal. Fue establecido en 1979 y en los últimos años la institución ha adquirido una sólida reputación internacional. La Universidad ha experimentado un crecimiento significativo en términos de su población estudiantil, instalaciones modernas y de calidad y la diversidad de programas disponibles. Cuenta con tres universidades y cuatro escuelas, ofreciendo una gama de calidad de grado y posgrado académico en un entorno precioso. Gambelas Campus se encuentra a 6 km y 2 km del aeropuerto internacional de Faro, de Faro. El clima del Algarve
Una de las principales características distintivas de la región del Algarve es su clima. Las condiciones del tiempo que el sentido común atribuye generalmente al clima del Algarve se encuentra en todo su esplendor en Barrocal y en la costa sur, especialmente en el centro y este del Algarve. Un conjunto de características básicas resumir el clima de la región, especialmente en la costa sur y barrocal: veranos largos y calurosos, inviernos suaves y lluvias cortas, concentradas en otoño e invierno, reduce el número anual de días con precipitación y el alto número de horas de sol al año. La temperatura media anual de la costa de sotavento y la región central del Algarve es el más alto en Portugal y una de las más altas de la Península Ibérica en torno al 18 ° C, debido a la climatología 1961-1990 normal.
