ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Submission Procedure

Authors should submit their abstracts through online submission system by following the link https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/APDR2023. 
On-line Sessions will be possible if their proponents chose to have them on-line​.

Abstracts are accepted in the following languages: Portuguese, English or Spanish. The papers can be presented in one of these three languages.

No delegate should submit and present more than 3 abstracts.
Additional submissions (more than 3 abstracts) have the additional fee of 25 euros per presentation.

Submissions must be made by May 26, 2023 (NEW DATE).
  1. If you have not submitted through this system in the past, you will need to create a user account by clicking the "Registration" tab in the online system.
  2. After you log in to the system, click "+ Create new submission" in the Author Console.
  3. Enter the title, the abstract text (around 400 words).
  4. The section "AUTHORS" should list your e-mail address, Name, Organization, and Country.
  5. To add more authors, please enter the e-mail address of your co-author and click "+ Add." Fill in the fields to provide the name, organization, and country of your co-author and click "+ Add." Repeat this process to add more co-authors.
  6. Select two SUBJECT AREAS.
  7. Click "Submit."

Submission Decisions

​The organizing committee will notify all submitting authors of their decision until May 31, 2023. June 10, 2023 - Pre-Registration Due and Presenters must register to be included on the program. 

The abstracts presented at the 30th APDR Congress will be published in the Congress Book of Abstracts online (PDF) with ISBN.

​Publication Opportunities
 
Papers presented at the Congress can be considered for publication in the following Journals:
 
1 - Regional Science Policy and Practice (SCOPUS and Web of Science);
2 - Portuguese Review of Regional Studies (SCOPUS);
3 - The Annals of Regional Science (SCOPUS).  
 
The submitted invited papers will undergo the journals' regular review process.
The Organizing Committee will look for the opportunity to promote the production of special issues of these Journals.
Additionally, following the invitation addressed to the conference organizers by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, we have submitted to them a proposal to publish a collection of selected papers from the Congress. Following that process, we are happy to inform all the Congress participants that the book proposal was recently approved by the Publisher. Accordingly, in due time, in the weeks after the Congress, we will get in contact with a few of the authors of papers presented at the Congress to invite them to submit versions of their papers for being considered for inclusion in it, as book chapters.
