Program:
Departure from Terceira Island to S. Jorge will take place around 8 a.m. in a semi-rigig boat (see figure above). Trip will take around one hour and a half to two hours, with arrival to Topo (S. Jorge) around 11 a.m. The excursion will follow up to Fajã da Caldeira during the first pedestrian walk will take place (1 hour aprox.).Here people are advised to take a snack to re-establish the levels of energy for another walk (2 hours) direction to Fajã dos Cubres, where finally luch will be served (around 3 p.m.). After lunh is time to continue the way to Calheta, on the opposite side of arrival to the island, and get back to Terceira Island, where arrival is previewed around 7:30 p.m..

Participants’ reception will take place from 12h30 on, in the University of Azores Pico das Urzes, where the sessions of Thursday (5th July) afternoon and Friday (6th July) will take place.

The Opening Session will take place in the Cultural Centre of Angra do Heroísmo, at 11 a.m., with the presence of the Secretary of State for Regional Development.
« Plenary Session I »
The First Plenary Session counts with the High Patrocinia of the Secretary of State for Regional Development and will discuss “The future of Regional Development and Cohesion policies”. This Session will take place in the Cultural Centre of Angra do Heroísmo, at 11:30 a.m. and is open to all interested people.
